To be clear, it is a single speed Leslie (off/fast) and both rotors are fully functional. The Leslie adapter and amp are a 147 series, which is much more compatible and louder than the original. I haven't aged the Leslie, though they were available in mass production from 1938 to 1958.īoth were recently serviced by Mike from Dallas Organ Service, including a cable repair, tube cleanup, and rewiring the Leslie adapter. The Leslie 31H is the first model available for mass audiences, commonly called the "tall boy", and is a highly sought after tone cabinet. Based on the identification tags and features, this organ was built sometime between 19. The organ is a Hammond A-100, which has the same internals as the legendary - and much more expensive - B-3 however, the A-100 includes internal speakers, so it can be played without the Leslie, or they can be used as built-in monitors if you decide to place the Leslie further away. This is a functional and amazing piece of history!
